2011 UPDATE

hello friends!

Happy New Year!  i just wanted to pass along some info on a few changes that were made at Blonde Salon this year.  although i work in a salon with 'normal-looking' stations, i am actually an independent contractor which means i rent the station that i use from the owner.  there are some fabulous benefits to this but it also comes with a lot of the same cons to being a business owner, one of which is credit card processing fees!  until the end of last year, the owner of Blonde was kind enough to incur these fees.  it is fair to assume that the ticket price of 13 employees' credit card fees would add up quickly and consequently, as of January 1, 2011, i am now responsible.  if you are at all able and/or willing to help me out in this arena, here is what you can do.....pay with cash or check!  :)  in our day in age it is nearly impossible (and really quite absurd) to not accept credit and debit cards so this will remain an option of payment as well!  if you choose to write a check you can make it out to me, Lindsey Snyder, and if you choose to pay with cash or credit, our receptionist will help you with that as usual!  hopefully you all will be able to jump on board with these changes!  thanks for your help and i look forward to seeing you!

i know it's a little late but never too late to say THANK YOU!  i believe that if you are thankful for someone you should tell them, so again, THANK YOU for your loyalty to me!  i have the best job in the world and the best clients in the world, and i truly mean that!  make your holiday hair appointments between now and Christmas and let me show you my appreciation!  i've got a little something fun for you as well as a coupon for your next visit!  hopefully this will make your holiday that much brighter!

A blonde, wanting to earn some money, decided to hire herself out as a handyman-type and started canvassing a wealthy neighborhood. She went to the front door of the first house and asked the owner if he had any jobs for her to do.

"Well, you can paint my porch. How much will you charge?"

The blonde said, "How about 50 dollars?"

The man agreed and told her that the paint and ladders she would need were in the garage.

The man's wife, inside the house, heard the conversation and said to her husband, "Does she realize that the porch goes all the way around the house?"

The man replied, "She should. She was standing on the porch."

A short time later, the blonde came to the door to collect her money.

"You're finished already?" he asked.

"Yes," the blonde answered, "and I had paint left over, so I gave it two coats."

Impressed, the man reached in his pocket for the $50. "And by the way," the blonde added, "that's not a Porch, it's a Ferrari."

breast cancer awareness!

October is breast cancer awareness month!  this awful disease has affected my grandmother and grandmother-in-law as well as so many people close to you i am sure, so let's come together and support the cause!  Aquage donates $1 of every Finishing Spray sale to the Susan G. Komen for the cure Foundation which, for the last couple of years, has totaled over $214,000 (each year)!

we were also recently featured in US Weekly magazine as a "Shop to Stop Breast Cancer" item!

also, Aquage has a display contest each year and awards the most creative entry! a few photos of my entry are below.  i'll keep you posted when i catch wind of the results!
